Kirkland's Grand Opening of Expanded Branson Store
Location: Branson Landing
Kirkland’s, the national specialty retailer of home décor
and gifts for value-minded shoppers, will hold the grand opening of its
newly-remodeled store at Branson Landing lifestyle center October 30-November 1,
2009. The store is 3,000 square
feet larger than it was before the renovation.
The weekend event will feature giveaways and many sale items, as well as free interior decorating consultations Saturday and Sunday by area
interior designer J.L. Hill. He’ll
showcase fall tabletop centerpieces with candles, greenery and leaf motifs.
He’ll also be available to discuss other décor ideas to make your home
more beautiful.

Titanic will shroud itself in myth and mystery during the museum attraction’s
first Halloween Masquerade, a progressive dinner party held on board Titanic the
night before All Hallows Eve. In keeping with the spirit of the evening, all
crew members will wear wildly decorated Italian masks. Dinner guests are
encouraged to arrive in masks, as well. During a moveable feast through the
museum, we’ll reveal strange tales and unexplainable phenomena that haunt
Titanic to this day ? like the much-repeated and still-believed story that the
ship was cursed by an Egyptian mummy supposedly shipped to New York aboard
Titanic. Dinner will be catered by Touch? of Springfield and is priced at
$60 per person. Advance reservations are required.

Christmas Tour of Homes
Times: 10 am - 4 pm
2009 Christmas Tour of Homes in the Table Rock Lake area near Branson.
Homes will be open for touring on Friday and Saturday, December 4th and 5th,
from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Tickets may be purchased for $15 starting
November 1st at the Country Mart in Branson West, and in Kimberling City at the
Kimberling Area Library, Metropolitan National Bank, People’s Bank, Summer
Fresh Supermarket, and Harter House. Included with the Tour of Homes is a
Hospitality Room at the Kimberling Area Library offering complimentary
refreshments, a Unique Boutique of craft items, Silent Auction, Prize Drawing,
and Bake Sale. A light lunch will also be available for purchase at our
Christmas Tea Room located at the Hospitality Room. The Tea Room will be
open both days of the tour from 11:30 AM until 2:30 PM. For more information,

Santa's Reindeer at the Titanic
Location: The Titanic Museum
Admission: Free
Titanic’s parking lot will turn into a winter wonderland again when Santa and
his reindeer stop by for two special weekends. Last year’s visit was a magical
holiday experience for hundreds of boys and girls, and this year’s Christmas
visit promises to be even more exciting. This free family attraction gives
parents and kids the chance to pat real-live reindeer while having their
pictures taken with these relatively rare creatures.
